  • TRU board names psychiatry administrator as new chair, construction entrepreneur as vice

    KAMLOOPS - Dr. Paul Dagg, an accomplished administrator in psychiatric medicine, has been appointed chairperson of the Board of Governors for Thompson Rivers University. Jim Thomson, a Kamloops entrepreneur with 42 years experience in construction and development has been named its vice-chairman.
  • Central Okanagan rural property tax notices

    Property owners in the Central Okanagan East and Central Okanagan West Electoral Areas will soon receive Rural Property Tax Notices from the Provincial Government in their mail.

    These Electoral Area residents are reminded that the Regional District does not collect taxes directly and does not accept payment of Property Taxes. 
  • B.C. streamlines Land and Land Title acts

    VICTORIA - Bill 25, introduced today, will make it easier to regulat and manage low-impact community, recreational, industrial and commercial activity on Crown lands, streamline fees for transactions under the Land Title Act and allow non-Canadians to register as land surveyors.
  • Rural property tax notices arriving soon

    Rural property owners in the Central Okanagan East and West Electoral areas will shortly be receiving tax notices from the Provincial Government.

    The Regional District reminds these property owners in the electoral areas that it does not collect taxes directly and does not accept payment of Property Taxes.  Rural Property Tax Notices are collected by the Province.
