  • Penticton holiday lights tour and free rides on New Year's eve

    BC Transit and the City of Penticton are getting into the holiday spirit with a seasonal Lights Tour and free rides on New Year’s Eve.

    The Lights Tour is an excellent chance to see the beauty of Penticton during the holiday season. Two trips will be taking place on Wednesday, December 14, 2016.
  • Spooktacular Pumpkin Walk in Lake Country

    LAKE COUNTRY - The extremely popular Regional Parks annual Halloween celebration is moving to Lake Country this year.

    The Spooktacular Pumpkin Walk is being held on Monday, Oct. 31 in partnership with Halloween events with the District of Lake Country.
  • Wine Country Half Marathon road closure and parking restrictions

    KELOWNA - On Sunday, Sept. 4, the Kelowna Wine Country Half Marathon will be taking place along with the Wine and Music Festival at Waterfront Park.
  • Hockey fans, tournament staff get assist from Kamloops Transit

    KAMLOOPS – Visitors and Kamloops residents involved in the 2016 International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) Women’s World Hockey Tournament can look forward to more transit options during the games.

    BC Transit and the City of Kamloops are pleased to provide shuttle and extended service on game days on March 28, 29, 31, and April 1, 3 and 4.

    Shuttle service will operate between the North Shore Exchange and McArthur Island Arena when there is a hockey game.
  • Spooktacular Pumpkin Walk lights up the nut farm

    WEST KELOWNA - The hugely popular ‘Spooktacular Pumpkin Walk’ returns to the Gellatly Nut Farm Regional Park later this month.

    On Sunday, October 25th from 3:00 to 5:00 pm, carved pumpkins (with an LED candle light/tea light inside) can be dropped off at the regional park, located just off Whitworth Road in West Kelowna. Slip on your Halloween costume and head to the park between 5:00 and 8:00 pm to view the lighted pumpkins lining the pathways around the nut orchard.
  • Kelowna Wine Country Half Marathon road closure and parking restrictions

    KELOWNA - On Sunday, Sept. 6 the Kelowna Wine Country Half Marathon will be taking place.
  • Upcoming road closures in Kelowna

    KELOWNA - Rose Avenue will be closed between Pandosy Street and Richter Street for utility upgrades associated with the Richter Street/Rose Avenue realignment from July 13 through early September.
  • Remembrance Day road closures

    Royal Canadian Legion and the Army, Navy and Air Force veterans will hold their annual Remembrance Day parades in downtown Kelowna and Rutland respectively on Monday, Nov. 11. Roads will be temporarily closed to accommodate the parades between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.
  • Park, beach and road closures for Center of Gravity

    Public access to City Park will be restricted during the B.C. Day long weekend from Friday, Aug. 2 through Sunday, Aug. 4 for Center of Gravity. The public washrooms, water park, skateboard park, tennis courts and a portion of Hot Sands Beach will remain open and accessible to the public.

    Concerts will end nightly at 11 p.m.
  • Canada Day – Free Transit Service

    On Canada Day residents are invited to ride the bus for free! The City of Kamloops and B.C. Transit are flying the flag and showing their Canadian pride by offering free rides all day long on July 1.

    All existing routes will be fare-free, and there will also be free shuttle services offered from the Lansdowne Village transit exchange to Riverside Park.
