  • Nicola Valley Hospital – Emergency Department Expansion

    MERRITT – Interior Health has chosen Kasian Architecture Interior Design and Planning Ltd. as the design consultant for the planned expansion and renovation of the Nicola Valley Hospital and Health Centre’s emergency department.

    Kasian was chosen as the successful proponent from among nine submissions for a recent request for proposals (RFP) that closed Dec. 6.
  • Emergency department expansion launched at Merritt hospital

    MERRITT - Emergency health services in the Coquihalla corridor will be strengthened thanks to a planned expansion and renovation of the Nicola Valley Hospital and Health Centre's emergency department.

    WEST KELOWNA - The City of West Kelowna is advising the public that blasting activity related to subdivision construction in the Rose Valley and Talus Ridge neighbourhoods is expected to begin this week.

    Blasting permits have been issued to Rose Valley Ventures Ltd. and Ryser Developments. for site construction and servicing for property at the end of Rose Meadow Drive and property at the end of Mountain Hollows Lane in West Kelowna.

    KELOWNA - The public is invited to an information session about the final design plans for the South Pandosy Transit Exchange construction project, Thursday, February 19, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the restaurant area of Urban Fare in the Mission Park Shopping Centre.

    Local State of Emergency for Gellatly Road
    Council acknowledged the declaration of the state of local emergency by Mayor Doug Findlater on May 12 regarding the slope failure on a section of Gellatly Road. Gellatly Road, from approximately Witt Road to Angus Drive, was closed May 2 due to erosion of the bank on the west side of the road, adjacent to Smith Creek.

    Council received a status update on the developing Water Master Plan from Michael Trickey, a consultant with Strategic Infrastructure Management Inc. The Plan will guide the operations, maintenance, upgrading and expansion of the municipality’s five water systems under one authority.
