  • Holiday hours at City facilities

    Kelowna City Hall will be closed for the holidays from Monday, Dec. 25, through Monday, Jan. 1, 2018, reopening and returning to regular hours on Tuesday, Jan. 2.
  • Don’t Hibernate! Participate In West Kelowna Rec Programs

    Beat the effects of colder weather, shorter days and the comfort foods and beverages of Christmas by enrolling in one, two, or even a few of the hundreds of programs being offered through West Kelowna’s Winter 2018 Rec Guide.

    The guide offers something for people of all ages and abilities. And, it’s easy to find a program close to home with so many offered at school gyms and multipurpose rooms, community centres, and our aquatic centre and arenas.
  • Remembrance Day hours of operation at civic properties

    To mark Remembrance Day, which falls on a Saturday this year, City Hall will be closed for the statutory holiday on Monday, Nov. 13.

    The Glenmore Landfill will be open its regular hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

    Parkinson Recreation Centre will be open Saturday, Nov. 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Monday, Nov. 13 from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

    The Kelowna Memorial Cemetery grounds will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Parkinson Recreation Centre annual maintenance and pool closure

    The aquatic area at Parkinson Recreation Centre including the pools, whirlpool and steam room will be closed for annual maintenance from Monday, Aug. 28, to Saturday, Sept. 16. The aquatic area is scheduled to reopen on Sunday, Sept. 17.

    Parkinson Recreation Centre pass holders are eligible for an equivalent extension to be added to their pass due to any time missed as a result of the closure. Punch passes and access passes excluded.

  • Draft #2 of the Parks and Recreation Master Plan now available

    After over 5,000 contacts with the community and a year of work by Steering Committee members, the City of Penticton is pleased to share the second draft of the Parks and Recreation Master Plan. The draft is available online today and contains over 150 recommendations for City parks, beaches, trails, outdoor recreation amenities, indoor recreation facilities and recreation programs and services.
  • Imagine Kelowna Community Forum expression of interest deadline

    KELOWNA - Those who live, work or play in Kelowna, have until noon on Monday, March 27, to complete an expression of interest to participate in the Imagine Kelowna Community Forum.

    Approximately 150 citizens will be selected by a third-party research firm to participate in the Community Forum at the Kelowna Yacht Club on April 8, 2017.
