  • Parking ticket drop boxes being removed from downtown

    City Council has approved the removal of all parking ticket drop boxes from the downtown core during the first week of May. Use of these boxes has dropped significantly in the last few years and it is no longer financially reasonable to maintain this method of payment.

  • Be notified: Pesticide spray registry

    KELOWNA - The City of Kelowna’s pesticide notification registry is open from Feb. 12 to March 13. The annual registry is for Kelowna residents who wish to be informed when pesticide spraying occurs on residential properties adjacent to their own.

    “This registry is valuable for those who wish to minimize their exposure to pesticides,” said Todd Cashin, Subdivision, Agriculture & Environment Services Manager.
  • Celebrate Culture Days in Kelowna

    KELOWNA - The City of Kelowna, along with artists and community groups, will be joining other cities across Canada to celebrate the fifth annual Culture Days, Sept. 26 to 28. Residents are encouraged to create and celebrate culture by participating in more than 40 free activities and events.

  • Pesticide registry deadline approaching

    The deadline for Kelowna residents to register with the City of Kelowna’s Pesticide Notification Registry is Saturday, March 15.

    The Pesticide Notification Registry is for residential property owners in Kelowna who wish to be informed when pesticides are scheduled to be applied on abutting properties.

  • Highlights of June 24 City Council meeting

    Seasonal Light Display
    Council approved a partnership with the Capri Rotary Club to trial a new seasonal light display. A maximum one-time contribution of $15,000 will help pay for electrical upgrades and operational costs that are not covered by sponsorship.

    Development Application Notification
    Council directed staff to adopt a more reader-friendly format for notifications.
