    Central Okanagan-Similkameen-Nicola MP Dan Albas presented flags to be flown at city facilities in recognition of Canada’s 150th anniversary of confederation, which will be officially celebrated July 1, 2017. City staff has also requested to use the Canada 150 logo for decorative banners on Boucherie Road Wine Trail and Westbank Centre.

    KELOWNA - Everything you would like to know about the Regional District of Central Okanagan can be found in one place:  the 2016 Annual Review.

    Communications Officer Bruce Smith says, “The 49-page full colour publication outlines the wide variety of services and programs that we provide throughout the Central Okanagan.  The Annual Review showcases department by department highlights for 2016 while outlining the initiatives planned for 2017.
  • Blasting Activity to Continue for Tallus Ridge/Shannon Lake Area

    The City of West Kelowna is advising the public that blasting activity related to subdivision construction in the Tallus Ridge area will be extended to March 31, 2017.

    A blasting permit, originally beginning October 24, 2016, has been extended for TT Contractors Ltd. for site blasting for Tallus Ridge Stage 8 on Paramount Drive in West Kelowna.

    Blasting will be allowed Monday to Saturday, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
  • WFN Celebrates opening $5.5 million Youth Centre

    WESTBANK - Westbank First Nation proudly opened their new $5.5 Million Youth Centre at 1880 Quail Lane, Westbank, today. The general contractor for the project, WIBCO Construction, ensured the project was completed on time and on budget.

    “I’m thrilled to be standing here with the community today as we open the doors to our new Youth Centre,” says Chief Roxanne Lindley.
