  • YLW Master Plan guides the way to 2045

    On Nov. 21, the final Kelowna International Airport (YLW) Master Plan 2045 was approved and adopted by Kelowna City Council.

    In March 2015, YLW engaged SNC-Lavalin and its consultants to update the existing Master Plan 2025. The integrated team developed the new Master Plan 2045 in support of YLW’s vision to become the best mid-sized airport in North America.
  • Emergency department expansion launched at Merritt hospital

    MERRITT - Emergency health services in the Coquihalla corridor will be strengthened thanks to a planned expansion and renovation of the Nicola Valley Hospital and Health Centre's emergency department.
  • City Seeking Input on Peterson Creek Multi-use Pathway Project

    Biking and walking between Sahali and downtown will soon get much easier. The City plans to construct the first phase of the Peterson Creek Multi-use Pathway to connect Summit Drive (near Sa-Hali Secondary School) to downtown (near Glenfair Drive). This three-meter wide, 1.7 km long, paved multi-use pathway will provide walkers and cyclists with a safe and direct link between Sahali and downtown. The pathway will include lighting, signage, rest areas with benches, and other amenities.

    Council directed staff to investigate two of six options presented to provide efficient municipal operations for the City of West Kelowna. The City has $7.1 million within its Financial Plan to put towards meeting the requirement for an efficient municipal hall facility.

    KAMLOOPS - Nominations for the 2015 Business Excellence Awards were released today by the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce and TD Bank Group.
  • Information session for Clifton Road upgrades

    The City of Kelowna and design consultant Focus Engineering are proposing to begin road and drainage improvements along Clifton Road.

    The public is invited to view the preferred design concept and construction schedule for the four-laning of Clifton Road between Clement and Lambert avenues, including upgrades to sanitary, water, drainage and retaining walls.
