  • Light a Bulb Campaign Exceeds Goal

    The hospital tree is fully lit!  Due to the generous spirit of the North Okanagan community, Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation’s 30th Annual Light a Bulb Campaign has raised $275,888 exceeding its $250,000 goal.

    Businesses, individuals and organizations contributed to the Campaign in amounts of $10 to $40,000.

    “Every donation we received was vital in making this happen.
  • Light a Bulb Campaign Close to Goal

    Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation’s Light a Bulb Campaign is at 97% of its goal, raising $244,586 towards the $250,000 needed to purchase new endoscopes in the VJH Ambulatory Care Unit.

    “We are very thankful to have received so many generous donations over the past week, including a gift of $30,000 from Grizzly Curb & Concrete,” said Lisa Westermark, VJH Foundation Executive Director.
  • Toast the New Year with Effervescent Music at The Magic of Vienna

    KAMLOOPS, B.C. – The Kamloops Symphony invites you to join them in celebrating the New Year with a concert filled with effervescent music at The Magic of Vienna.  There are two performances of this annual favourite; Saturday, January 13 at 7:30 pm, and Sunday, January 14 at 2:00 pm, in Sagebrush Theatre.
  • Summerland Kinsmen Polar Bear Dip

    The Kinsmen Club of Summerland would like to welcome you to our annual Polar Bear Dip. It will be held at Sun-Oka beach on January 1 2018 at Noon sharp. We will have hot dogs, hot coco, and of course our collectors t-shirts available by donation for all attendees. We've been running this event for over 30 years, and lately it's been successful having local media helping us to promote our event.
  • Light a Bulb Campaign at $175,225

    With only 10 days until Christmas, Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation’s Light a Bulb Campaign is $75,000 short of its $250,000 goal.

    “It’s a challenge to raise such a significant amount in a short time, but we are optimistic that our community will once again come through for this important campaign,” said Campaign Chair Dr. Curtis Mohamed.

    Kamloops, BC – The Grasslands Boulevard extension is now open, completing the connection from Batchelor Drive to Westsyde Road. In addition to the construction of the new road, this project included drainage, lighting, and water service improvements as well as the installation of a new sidewalk.
