    KAMLOOPS, BC – Thompson Rivers University is excited to announce its largest corporate donation this year. The Trans Mountain Expansion Project (TMEP) is gifting the university $500,000 to go toward bursaries for students in trades, social work, human service, research and environmental science.

  • Metro Vancouver donation flows straight to Okanagan College

    Students enrolled in the Water Engineering Technology (WET) diploma program will be benefitting this fall from some well-placed connections.

    The College is in the process of incorporating used equipment donated by Metro Vancouver for use in various classes involving wastewater treatment and chlorination in the two-year program.

    A fruit packing plant in the Ellison area east of Kelowna was hit with another $78,368 in fines for discharging effluent into a failed septic field. That’s now more than $110,000 in fines since 2022 for the same issue at Sandher Fruit
