  • No smoking in Lake Country public spaces starting January

    Anyone in Lake Country thinking ahead to setting the goal to quit smoking in 2017 will get some help with their resolution from the new Smoking Regulation Bylaw 954, 2016 adopted by Council July 5, 2016, which comes into effect January 5, 2017.
  • RDCO Financial Plan Approved

    The Regional Board has adopted the Five-Year Financial Plan for 2017 – 2021.  The 2017 budget totals just over $64.7-million compared with $63.2-million during 2016. 
  • Job seekers clearing trails and building a bright future

    BARRIERE - Up to eight job seekers in the Barriere and Clearwater area, including members of the Simpc'w First Nation, will gain trail clearing, milling and carpentry skills, thanks to a new Job Creation Partnership project.

  • Regional District 2014-2018 financial plan approved

    The Regional Board has adopted the Five-Year Financial Plan for 2014 – 2018.  The 2014 operating budget which includes Municipal Finance Authority financing totals more than $59.9-million compared with $58.7-million during 2013.

    The Regional District does not collect taxes directly.  It requisitions funds from each local government on behalf of their residents and the Province which collects property taxes for Electoral Area residents
