  • Chase RCMP mischief, theft and break-ins report

    On October 1st, Chase RCMP received a complaint of theft of an all-terrain vehicle in the 1800 block of Chase-Falkland Road.  The owner stated that sometime overnight the side-by-side ATV was taken from the rural property.  Police examined the scene and took down the details of the machine.  On October 4th, the owner called police to state that he had found the ATV in the woods at the back of his property.  No suspects have been identified at this time.
  • Caution urged in high fire hazard areas like parks in Penticton

    PENTICTON - Due to extreme dry conditions, park and trail users in Penticton are urged to use extreme caution so as to avoid starting an interface fire.
  • Portion of Monte Creek Forest Service Road closed

    KAMLOOPS - Effective immediately, travellers are advised the Monte Creek Forest Service Road, also known locally as the Private Forest Service Road, is closed until further notice at the 5.75-kilometre marker for road repairs.
  • Public use restrictions on grasslands, grazing leases

    KAMLOOPS - In advance of the May long weekend, the public is reminded about restricted recreational use in the Tunkwa-Duffy area and on grazing leases in the Kamloops area.
