Those hungry for nostalgic food from the Zellers food truck will have to wait a little longer as the truck that was due to arrive at a Kamloops shopping mall this weekend now won't be.

The Aberdeen mall announced on social media the truck was set to arrive on April 22, but has updated the post to let people know the food truck event is delayed. The new Zellers opened at the mall on April 4, one of 25 Zellers outlets in the process of opening in Hudson's Bay locations across the country.

"Zellers got a little ahead of themselves," the mall said in the post. "The Zellers food truck date is still being determined. They will not be onsite this coming Saturday as was previously promoted."

When asked if the scheduled food truck event was cancelled, Hudson Bay said in an emailed response it hadn't yet announced food truck dates for B.C. and added, "We will be sure to keep you posted."

The Zellers food truck menu has the Big Z Burger and other classic comfort foods.

"It wouldn't be the same without this Zellers icon," the menu read. "Crispy, golden fries topped with house gravy. So Simple. So, so good. Warning: May cause extreme nostalgia."

The mall asks customers to stay tuned for more details as they come in.
