B.C. farms and vineyards are absolutely abuzz right now with harvest season in full swing. The beautiful colours, smells of ripe fruit and crushed grapes make this time of year paradise for food and wine folk.

Wines of British Columbia has turned up the volume to celebrate this year by launching B.C. Wine Harvest Month already in full swing. As part of the multi-event campaign, I am excited to have produced two cooking videos that will be launched featuring recipes from my B.C. Wine Lover’s Cookbook. The recipe demos are followed by a wine tasting with the winemakers paired with the recipe.

The press release announced:

In collaboration with local industry partners, and support from Destination British Columbia, the B.C. Wine Institute has launched B.C. Wine Harvest Month October 1 to 31, to celebrate all things harvest and work together with industry for a strong and bright future for British Columbia wine, hospitality and tourism.

To encourage local support and help strengthen the collective industry, the B.C. Wine Institute has partnered with Destination British Columbia, the B.C. Hotel Association, B.C. Restaurant and Food Association, B.C. Dairy Association and B.C. Seafood Alliance to collaboratively honour and celebrate the British Columbia harvest season and a brighter future for all industries going forward.

“2020 has been like no other. Our industries were quick to respond and adapt during an unpredictable time, but we’re not out of the woods yet,” says Miles Prodan, President & CEO, B.C. Wine Institute. “This campaign brings local industry together to strengthen the collective and work collaboratively to bolster local support and celebrate some of the finest this province has to offer."
