A new restaurant will be joining the classy, resort-style Water Street scene in Kelowna’s downtown core this summer.

King Taps Lakeside will offer locally-sourced ingredients and menu items, regional wines, pizzas and over 50 rotating taps.

“We’re thrilled to be bringing delicious food, amazing drinks and a great vibe to Kelowna’s waterfront this summer,” King Taps regional manager Thomas Beetlestone said in a media release.

This is the second location for the restaurant. The first one opened in Toronto's financial district in 2017. It has since become a popular place for people to watch sports and meet with friends.

The location in Kelowna will feature indoor and outdoor Okanagan Lake views.

“With seating for nearly 500 across indoor and outdoor spaces, we’ve got something for everyone, and we look forward to bringing our hospitality excellence to the Kelowna community and visitors alike,” Beetletone said.

The menu will consist of gourmet entrees, burgers, salads and bowls made in-house with sustainable and local ingredients. The restaurant will boast a wide selection of pizzas with 24-hour aged dough, hand-stretched and baked in specialty ovens imported from Italy.

Located at 1352 Water St. in downtown Kelowna, King Taps Lakeside will begin hiring for all positions with the first virtual hiring fair on Saturday, Feb. 26.
