The Shuswap's only floating bar and restaurant has been sold to new owners and will reopen for the summer season.

The popular Shark Shack, located at Cinnemousun Narrows on Shuswap Lake, has been sold to Ian, Holly, and George Gray, according to the Sicamous and District Chamber of Commerce.

The Shuswap Shark Shack was first listed for sale for $749,900 in May, 2021. It is the only licensed floating restaurant and bar on the lake, according to its Twitter page.

The barges have sleeping quarters for approximately 15 people to serve the operations of the bar and restaurant along with the store and boat rental business, according to the real estate listing.

The front and middle barges are two stories and the front contains a kitchen, general store and gallery.

The upper floor has a full-service bar and two bedrooms while the rear barge is horseshoe-shaped to accommodate the tenders and allow for outside tie-ups for patrons and houseboats.

The Shark Shack will reopen for the season June 17, according to the chamber.

The barge's new owners could not be reached for comment.
