Grocery shopping has become very stressful during these crazy days of pandemic life. And to make it worse, when you finally psych yourself up and then gear up with masks and hand sanitizer to hit the store, you may find many things sold out.
B.C. restaurant supplier Sysco has just announced a solution – Sysco@home. As businesses continue to adapt, this new online shopping option allows consumers to access many products previously only available to restaurants. A smart solution for Sysco as well as many of their restaurant clients have been forced to shut down.
Sysco distributed food products to restaurants, lodging establishments and other customers who prepare meals away from home. Its family of products also includes equipment and supplies for the foodservice and hospitality industries.
It is easy to order online, pay with a credit card and then pick up your order at their warehouse in Kelowna. Shoppers can access a range of items from dairy to high quality meats and even prepared meals like buffalo wings, potstickers or ribs. There are other items like cleaning supplies and essentials from table salt to tin foil. Basically, this is a Costco-style shop, however the order sizes are large bulk sizing, for example, chicken breasts are available in 4 kg boxes for $57.99 — a great option for large families or if you like to shop ahead.
