New app puts the perfect B.C. wine in your hands
There’s a new app to help oenophiles get the best out of B.C. wineries that are just re-opening doors following COVID-19 restrictions.
The B.C. Wine Institute launched the Wines of BC Explorer app on July 1, a user-friendly tool designed to help wine aficionados find B.C. wine that suits their taste.
The app offers personalized, expert recommendations based on such things as flavour profile, as well as providing up-to-date information on 234 wineries in the province.
“As wineries reopen across the province, they’ve been able to update the Wines of BC Explorer app to list their new hours and protocols based on what they are doing during the reopening and recovery phase,” BC Wine Institute marketing director Kim Barnes said in a press release issued yesterday, July 9.
“We believe this new app will be a significant benefit to wineries and wine lovers alike, connecting them whether in person or apart,” she said.
The app can also direct wine lovers to their nearest liquor store, be it provincial, private, a B.C. Wine Institute B.C. Wine Store or winery retail online store.
