Kelowna's only traditional English restaurant closes its doors
Kelowna's only traditional English eatery has shuttered with the owners blaming tough economic times.
The ownership of Welton Arms Craft Beer and Restaurant posted to its Facebook page today, March 11, announcing its closure due to the current economic situation being unbearable for the business.
The restaurant and pub was located in the brewery district in Kelowna's North End.
"It is with heavy hearts that we are announcing the closing of the Welton Arms and the Welton Brewery, as of today," reads the Facebook statement. "This wasn’t an easy decision at all, but due to the current economic situation, we were just not able to sustain them.
"Thank you to our loyal customers and friends we made along the way. It’s been a pleasure serving you."
The restaurant was a family-run business served traditional English cuisine and brews.
The owners weren't immediately available for comment.
