Kelowna's Olympia Greek Taverna rises from the ashes today
One of Kelowna's favourite restaurants, Olympia Greek Taverna, is set to reopen for takeout and delivery orders today.
As of 4 p.m. the Rutland eatery will be open for business again while new staff is still training and getting accustomed to the new space and equipment.
"We would like to start by thanking our wives who so patiently put up with us during this time, our children whom we drove nuts, our contractor RGH Construction, the sub-trades, the City of Kelowna and all those who helped make this possible! Also to all of you, who have so patiently waited for our reopening! You won’t be disappointed!" reads the restaurant's Facebook page.
The restaurant burned down in 2020 and has been closed for the last three years while it was completely rebuilt.
All the classics will still be on the menu: the roast lamb, the pizza, the pasta, the ribs, steaks, moussaka and souvlaki. On top of this, they announced a limited menu for their opening which is now available on Facebook.
Those who have been patiently waiting for the restaurant's re-opening can call 250-765-0484 to put in their order for takeout or delivery as of 4 p.m. this Saturday.
