Kamloops Golf & Country Club: Membership not required for great food & drink
With its wonderful, sunny climate, Kamloops has long been a destination for golfers. The play season here extends over eight months earning the area the title as “the hottest market in Canadian golf”.
The Kamloops Golf & Country Club has upped its game by offering amazing food and drink to their list of assets. GM Alec Hubert is proud to be a part of the local drinks scene by supporting some of Kamloops’s best wineries and breweries on the menu. With wines from favourites like Harper’s Trail and IPA from Red Collar Brewing, visitors are able to sip and sample some of the local stars.
The Club’s Executive Chef Landon Knight has created a delicious menu at The Willows restaurant on site featuring comfort food classics to entice both golfers and those who choose to just come and enjoy the scenery. The great news is that the restaurant is open to non-members as well allowing guests to enjoy the beauty of the golf course.
The Willows patio is the place to be this summer. With beautiful views surrounding, it is both relaxing and fun to watch the golfing action go by on a sunny day. Order a glass of local wine or beer from the menu (international labels also available) and one of the Club specialties like the prime rib burger topped with onion rings. The steak sandwich is always a favourite after a round of 18 or the pulled pork sliders are great to share with a round of beer. The restaurant also has healthy salad options as well as a breakfast menu for those who love to hit the course early. There are also grab and go menu options.
After a long game, whether you are celebrating a bogey or a birdie, The Willows is the ultimate respite.
