It’s springtime in B.C. which means that everything’s coming up rosé!

Time to think pink and enjoy the wave of amazing B.C. Rosés that are popping up now. Over the years, the B.C. wineries have been creating world class rosé wines, these are definitely not the blends of the past, these are sophisticated hand crafted wines that are pleasing to all palates.

Rosé happens to pair beautifully with sunshine-y days and with Easter turkey dinners. Here are a few beauties to enjoy this weekend and throughout the year. And, with wineries all offering amazing delivery options, it has never been easier to shop local wines!

1. Fort Berens 2019 Pinot Noir Rosé:

With cranberry, watermelon, raspberry, spice, and intense floral aromas, this Rosé is perfectly balanced to enjoy in the summertime. Flavours of crab apple, cherry compote, and strawberries and cream linger on the palate with a deliciously, long finish.

2. vinAmité 2019 Rosé

A fresh summer pie made with rhubarb and strawberries is on the menu with this wine. A little kiss of pepper and baking spices on the finish. The perfect picnic or patio wine.

68% Merlot, 17% Syrah, 9% Malbec, 6% Cabernet Franc.

3. CedarCreek Estate 2019 Pinot Noir Rosé

The Pinot Noir for this wine is grown expressly for Rosé, which means it is picked earlier than it would be if it was destined for their Pinot Noir. This earlier picking results in more finesse and elegance in the wine. After being harvested, the grapes were destemmed and put in the press where they had two hours of skin contact before being pressed off. Fermentation was 100% stainless steel to allow for a fresh, crisp finished wine.

4. O’Rourke’s Peak Cellars 2019 Pinot Noir Rosé

The 2019 Pinot Noir Rosé is a bright and cheerful pale rhubarb and pink salmon colour.  The aromatics steer you towards red licorice, raspberry, cranberry, pomegranate and black currant, with a delicate hint of nectarine. Lively and intense flavours of pomegranate and rhubarb explode in your mouth!
