Roche Wines in Naramata is one of my favourite wine country love stories. Here at this small, terroir-focussed winery you will find a passionate husband and wife winemaking team, their trio of adorable children and of course, a super cute family winery dog.

Penelope Roche comes from a famous old world winemaking family in Bordeaux and Dylan Roche grew up in B.C. and is the first in his family to jump into the wine biz. The two literally met over a tank of grapes while doing a sabbatical at a winery and fell head over Blundstones for each other. They decided to move to the new world and begin their own wine legacy in beautiful Naramata.

New releases are just out and I say bring on the Rosé!

2020 Texture Rosé  $21.90

92% Zweigelt, 8% Schonberger. Beautiful racy acidity with pomegranate, cantaloupe, cranberry, and a whiff of crushed irises. Great mouthfeel too as the two parcels of Zweigelt were picked at different stages of ripeness.

Tasting Notes:

The fresh profile and dry finish call for salmon, spot prawns, or barbecue pork. Also easily enjoyed on its own.
