iNwine Wednesday: Robin Ridge Winery 2019 Gamay
I have a crush on Gamay these days and I'm obviously not the only one with #GoGamay trending. Thankfully there are some amazing B.C. Gamays to enjoy. You may have tried this cousin of Pinot Noir, its name and region in France is Beaujolais.
This delightful light red reminds me of spring-y days and is a wonderful food pairing. Robin Ridge Winery is one of our wine world's quiet little stars tucked in to the gorgeous Similkameen Valley. Their wines are consistently excellent and they are organic, too.
2019R Robin Ridge Winery Gamay $23.25
Bright, fresh, light and juicy with ripe raspberry, strawberry and blueberry, along with violet, cinnamon, cumin, white pepper and some complex earthy notes on the long finish.
Pair with five spice rubbed quail, or sautéed wild mushrooms on sourdough toast or with fish.
