A Kelowna singer is B.C.’s top country artist this month for her latest official music video featuring a Central Okanagan winery.

Singer/songwriter Teigen Gayse won Artist of the Month by the B.C. Country Music Association, and is excited to share her official music video for Blame The Wine at the same time, according to a press release from Gayse.

Gayse penned the fun wine-drinking song after indulging in a bottle of Prohibition Rosé in Texas last year, and released it to country radio and all streaming platforms this August.

It hit the country Billboard charts at #46, playing on the wild and crazy things that can happen while enjoying the delicious intoxicating fruity grape beverage, according to the news release. Gayse and her producer re-wrote the song in under an hour.

The video was shot at O’Rourke’s Family Estate Winery in Lake Country and shot by Nathan Peacock of Half 9 Media, and Shoaib Shabir Photography, and features a local cast and crew, including local tattoo artists, entrepreneurs, Coldstream Helicopters and a pug.

Gayse’s next adventure takes her to Nashville and the Canadian Country Music Awards this month, leaving just enough time to release her new Christmas single Hey Christmas, Nov. 12.
