Dreamed of wine making? This Okanagan vineyard could be yours for $24.5 million

A popular farm north of Oliver has put a large portion of its vineyards on the market.

The Covert Farms Family Estate is asking for $24.5 million for a 116-acre parcel on the southeast corner of the lot, according to an online listing.

The property has “amazing sandy soil” for growing grapes, six wind machines, and access to “the finest private water system” in the South Okanagan, according to the listing.

There are already dozens of acres Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris and certified organic table grapes growing on the lot.

The parcel has a total of 102 plantable acres. Thirty-one of them are “perfect certified organic” vineyard land with irrigation. There is also a scenic hillside with panoramic views.

The Coverts are advocates of regenerative agriculture. Their vineyard contains 100% estate-grown grapes. They own 650-acres that contains an organic farm, vineyard and winery.

They have won international awards for their wines.
