Alcohol-free gin hits the B.C. spirit market
Could it be? Spirit free spirits? It's true.
Sheringham Distillery has launched Canada’s first ever non-alcoholic gin, Lumette? Sheringham’s founder Alayne MacIsaac knows how to make fine gin. Sheringham’s Seaside Gin was actually recently named the “World’s Best Contemporary Gin” at the 2019 World Gin Awards in London, UK.
“Lumette! Bright Light Alt-Gin was envisioned when I wanted to enjoy a cocktail on my own, or with friends, but not always desire the alcohol. I love cocktails and with Lumette!, you get the complex flavours and aromas you expect from an aromatic spirit, just without the alcohol," MacIsaac said in a press release.
Located in beautiful Sooke, B.C. on Vancouver Island, Lumette! is hand-crafted using traditional distilling methods from botanicals including juniper, grand fir, grapefruit, orange, cucumber, mint and rose. Just think, summer time gin and tonics can be enjoyed all day with zero per cent alcohol.
The virgin cocktail scene just keeps getting better and better.
Cheers!
