In North America, drivers are supposed to stick to the right side of solid yellow lines, so it was peculiar when someone in the Kelowna area was spotted driving on the left side of the line.

A dash cam video titled Wrong side of highway bruh, shared to the a Reddit page, captured a blue car driving towards oncoming traffic while westbound on Highway 33.

The person recording the video was clearly shocked.

“He’s driving on the wrong side of the road."

The video captured the blue car on the left side of the yellow line for over 20 seconds before it finally moved back into the proper lane.

Perhaps the driver believed they were in the passing lane – but clearly they were not.

The man who recorded the video, who asked us not to use his name for fear of retribution, said it happened yesterday, Aug. 11.

Const. Della-Paolera with the Kelowna RCMP said that same day, a woman reported a blue Dodge Charger passing her on a double solid at a high rate of speed, however that blue car was travelling the opposite direction as what is shown in the video.

"The vehicle was last seen heading towards the Big White but police were unable to locate it," Della-Paolera said.

If you find swearing offensive, you'll want to turn your volume down before viewing the video clip.
