iN TRAFFIC: Several Interior highways may be slippery this morning
There may be a few hiccups for commuters counting on the Coquihalla or Okanagan Connector this morning.
DriveB.C. is advising motorists to watch for slippery sections.
Highway 3 may be slippery in sections between Keremeos and Grand Forks, which are 172 km apart.
Highway 5 may be slippery between the Portia and Coldwater Road exits, which are 50 kilometres apart.
Highway 5A may have slippery sections for 62 km between the start of the highway the Highway 97C junction.
Charles Andrews, who commutes from Armstrong to Sicamous everyday via on Highway 97a, said the road was bare and dry the entire way.
It’s the second day of the season at Big White Ski Resort, which got 75 centimetres of snow over the past 24 hours, according to the resort’s daily snow report. There are three lifts open and 12 runs. The condition of the runs are packed and groomed, and the skies are clear.
In today’s weather forecast, Kamloops is in for a high of -6 Celsius and low of -10. Vernon is expected to see a high of -3 and low of -6. Kelowna and Penticton will both get a high of -1 and low of -5.
