Motorists travelling through the Interior today are being warned of black ice, among other hazards.

Black ice can be found between Vernon and Coldstream on Highway 6 EW, for four kilometres between 25 Avenue and Aberdeen Road, according to DriveB.C. Highway 97 also has black ice between Vernon and Coldstream – from Crystal Waters Road and Grandview Flats Road North for 37 km.

Highway 97A has black ice for 56 km from the start of the highway to Davidson Drive, which is between Enderby and Sicamous.

Highway 97B has black ice all throughout. And black ice can also be found on Westside Road for 42 km, from Shelter Cove to Highway 97 North.

Fog and slippery sections were also reported on the aforementioned sections of highway, including Westside Road.

Other highway concerns include Highway 97 in the South Okanagan, where slippery sections have been reported between White Lake Road and Bridgeman Road, between Okanagan Falls and Summerland.

Highway 97C has slippery sections the entire way, from West Kelowna to Merritt.

Highway 1 is slushy with slippery sections from Perry River Bridge to Victoria Rd West, a stretch of 42 km between Sicamous and Revelstoke.

On Highway 3, watch for slipper sections between Hedley and Princeton for 71 km from Garret Road to Daly Avenue.

Highway 3A, east of Keremeos, may have slippery sections between Green Mountain Road and Bobcat Road.

Highway 5 has reports of water pooling between the Portia exit and Coldwater Road.

Highway 5 has patches of fog between McLure Ferry Road and Mount Olie Street, between Barriere and Little Fort. 

A winter storm watch have been activated for the Coquihalla Highway and Okanagan Connector, which includes Hope, Merritt, Kamloops and Kelowna, according to Environment Canada. High-elevation routes in the southern Interior are expected to get heavy, blowing snow tonight.

And a snowfall warning continues for the TransCan, where 15 centimetres is expected today from Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass and Highway 3, as well as between Paulson Summit and Kootenay Pass.

In weather, Kamloops can expect a high of 4 Celsius and a low of -1 C with a chance of showers this morning. Vernon is in for a high of 3 C and low of -2 C, with periods of snow or rain today and a chance of flurries later. Kelowna can expect a high of 4 C and low of -2 C with periods of rain or snow in the daytime. And Penticton will get a high of 3 C and low of -3 C with a chance of rain or wet flurries today.

For skiers and boarders, there's no new snow at Big White Ski Resort over the past 24 hours and 25 cm over the past week. Sun Peak Ski Resort hasn't gotten any new snow in the past 24 hours, but has received 11 cm over the past week.
