Fatal collision closes Highway 5 north of Kamloops
One driver is dead and the other has been taken to hospital after a crash between two commercial vehicles today on Highway 5 north of Kamloops today.
The collision happened on Highway 5 near McLure at around 12:11 p.m. today, Feb. 2, according to an RCMP news release.
The highway is closed in both directions with no indication of when it will reopen.
“At this point in the investigation there is no indication of any criminality as a contributing factor,” the release says.
Witnesses are asked to call B.C. Highway Patrol in Kamloops at 250-828-3111 and refer to file #23-458.
