Driver in fatal car crash a year ago arrested for second-degree murder
A suspect in a West Kelowna car crash that killed a pedestrian a year ago has been arrested for murder.
West Kelowna RCMP executed an arrest warrant on Friday, Sept. 15, for second-degree murder, criminal negligence causing death and dangerous driving causing death.
Ka-Mikosit Favelle, 27, is accused of killing pedestrian Adam Briand-Lawrence while behind the wheel of a vehicle on Horizon Drive in August 2022.
When the crash happened last year, RCMP stated speed and alcohol were not contributing factors in the collision.
Favelle is currently in police custody and will appear in in court tomorrow, Sept. 19.
