Crash between motorized scooters in Kelowna sends one to hospital
A crash between two motorized kick scooter riders in Kelowna on the weekend sent one to hospital.
Kelowna RCMP responded to the collision in the 800-block of Ellis Street around 5:15 p.m. on Sunday, April 6, according to a press release from police.
One male had non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital but the other rider left before police arrived.
The unidentified scooter rider was heading north on Ellis Street and police believe he was slim, short, wearing a helmet and a camouflage jacket on a black and orange scooter.
“Anyone with CCTV of Ellis Street around this time is asked to check their cameras for any additional evidence,” Cpl. Michael Gauthier said in the release. “Furthermore, if you are the other rider involved in this collision or you have any information regarding their identity, we would kindly ask that you contact the Kelowna RCMP and reference file number 2025-18072.”
