Six-storey apartment building approved for former Kamloops car lot
Plans for a new six-storey apartment building are in the works for North Kamloops adding density to the growing Tranquille Corridor.
The new build is slated to include 98 homes at 156 Tranquille Rd., formerly a used car dealership.

Amadeus Residential Limited Partnership will build the new apartment on the site of the former Red Sea Auto and Sales, which is planned to include 80 parking spaces for vehicles.
It will also host 91 bike parking spaces.
"That's going to be a really great addition to that area. I'm really excited to see it go forward," development, engineering and sustainability director for the City, Marvin Kwiatkowski, said just before council unanimously supported the project this afternoon, July 25.

The development will have a business space on the ground floor with 45 studio units, 33 one-bedroom suites and 20 two-bedroom suits, according to plans submitted to the City.
All residential units will have balconies and are planned to be rentals.
