Woman killed in car crash on Highway 5 north of Kamloops
A woman died in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 5 north of Kamloops Tuesday.
BC Highway Patrol is investigating the crash between Kealty Road and Orchard Lake Road near Vinsulla.
The woman was driving alone and died on the scene, according to an RCMP press release from RCMP. The crash was reported at 7 a.m., Oct. 8.
BC Highway Patrol has not said how the crash happened, nor revealed the deceased's identity.
The highway has been closed in both directions for most of the day, and there is a detour in effect. DriveBC said the route is expected to reopen later this afternoon.
