After a lengthy investigation, RCMP officers raided a home in Lake Country last week and recovered stolen mountain bikes, bike parts and electric scooter batteries.

Officers from Lake Country and Kelowna, along with a police dog, converged at a home in the 4400 block of Chase Road on Wednesday, June 19, to execute a search warrant, according to an RCMP media release issued today, June 25.

Two men were arrested for possession of stolen property. They were released from custody as the investigation continues.

"The Lake Country RCMP is dedicated to targeting property theft and holding those responsible accountable," the release read.

RCMP remind the public to document the serial numbers on their bicycles so if their stolen and recovered, they can get them back to their rightful owners.

“Consider the use of an online registry such as Project 529 to help catalogue your bike and record the necessary information,” RCMP Cpl. Ryder Birtwistle said in the release.
