Kamloops commuters will be waking up to a traffic headache tomorrow thanks to some planned work on a bridge.

Southbound traffic will be down to one lane tomorrow, Dec. 6,  on the New East Bridge while crews conduct electrical maintenance on the bridge, according to a Ministry of Transportation media release.

There will be single-lane southbound traffic between Shuswap Road intersection to the Yellowhead Interchange of Highway 1 and Highway 5 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. tomorrow.

Drivers are advised to plan for extra travel time, to use caution, obey signage and watch for roadside workers.
