Kelowna pedestrian killed on Harvey in two-car crash
A pedestrian was killed in a two-car crash over the weekend and police are still investigating.
A 33-year-old Kelowna woman was killed in a collision that involved two vehicles at the intersection of Harvey Avenue and Burtch Road around 3:15 p.m. on June 21, according to an RCMP press release.
Both drivers were taken to hospital, but RCMP don't say how badly they were hurt. Both drivers are cooperating with the investigation. Police said the drivers weren’t impaired but speed was a factor.
“We wish to express our sincere appreciation to the individuals who stopped to render assistance at the scene,” Kelowna RCMP media relations officer Sgt. Laura Pollock said in the release.
“If you have been affected by this incident and require support, please contact the detachment. Our Victim Services team is available to provide compassionate and professional assistance during this difficult time.”
Anyone with information, or dash camera footage of the collision, has been asked to contact Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300 and reference the file number 2025-35133.
