Kelowna bus hits light post injuring passengers
A Kelowna city transit bus hit a light pole while carrying travellers, yesterday, and injured some passengers on board.
Two passengers on the bus sustained injuries from the collision while some passengers left before police arrived at the scene, Kelowna RCMP said in a release. Police are still investigating the cause but are trying to interview passengers who left. There is no evidence to suggesting criminal behaviour.
The bus was travelling eastbound on Springfield Road at Durnin Road when the collision occurred at 6:45 p.m. July 30. After hitting the light post, the bus stopped on a cement barrier.
Officers are looking for passengers to provide information about the event and ask those involved to contact the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300 and reference file number 2024-43582.
