Kamloops man sent to hospital after hit and run
A man in Kamloops has been sent to hospital after a hit and run.
On Aug. 31, 2023, around 4:30 a.m., Kamloops RCMP responded to a report of a pedestrian-vehicle collision on the 400-block of Tranquille Road.
When officers arrived at the scene, the driver had already fled. The victim, a man in his 20s, was transported to hospital by ambulance. He had sustained significant injuries which are believed to be non-life-threatening.
“A grey truck was noted to be leaving the area following what was described as a commotion,” said Cpl. Crystal Evelyn, at Kamloops RCMP in a press release. “It’s still very early in the investigation, but we are hopeful that someone in the area witnessed or captured security video of the incident, to help further the investigation.”
