Travellers beware of heavy rain coming through the Fraser Valley throughout the weekend.

Environment Canada issued an alert warning people about up to 50 mm of heavy rain coming through the east side of the Fraser Valley including Hope.

The storm system crossing B.C. is expected to bring a mix of heavy and light rain beginning tonight and turning into light showers or flurries on Sunday evening.

Environment Canada is asking drivers to watch out for pooling water, flash floods, and reduced visibility.
