Event Description
Learn about Japanese Taiko drumming, experiencing both the music and physical vigor! Those who complete the practice can join the group! The practice starts at 7 pm sharp. Wear loose or flexible clothing and be prepared to sweat a bit! Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated. Please arrive a few minutes early so we can start on time. We will give a short overview of taiko history, followed by introducing each of the instruments. After learning to hit the drum we will do a vigorous, repetetive exercise that will text your strength and endurance. Finally, we will learn a short piece that we will play as a group. For more information please visit our facebook page, and our web site. An evening Yamabiko Taiko practice.
