Event Description

JCI Kelowna and Global Citizen Events presents The Sustainable Development Challenge Pitch Competition. The Sustainable Development Challenge brings together youth who are passionate about making the world a better place. Using the United Nations Sustainable Development goals as their guide, these talented student teams develop project ideas to combat some of the world’s most complex challenges. With sustainability at the core, students will pitch their ideas to expert judges in creative and dynamic ways, all for the chance to win $5000 to fund their project. Think Dragon’s Den competition for sustainability! Having already gone through a rigorous vetting process, the top 6 teams will compete live at the Mary Irwin Theatre from 11:30am - 1:00pm. Then, the final winning team will present their project at ChangeUp, the following evening in partnership with Purppl. Join us! Show your support for these youth teams, be inspired by the next generation of leaders and watch the top team win $5000 to make their ideas and passions a reality! Attendance by donation, space is limited.
