Yoga Nidra with Megan McMichael Friday, Jan 17 7 - 830pm $25 +tax Are you in need of some deep relaxation? Join Megan for a 1.5 hour practice of yoga nidra + connection. Yoga Nidra is also known as yogic sleep. It's a deeply restful and restorative practice of mindfulness and rest. The goal of yoga nidra is to bring you into a total state of relaxation, physically, mentally and emotionally. Additional benefits include easing insomnia, decreasing anxiety, alleviating stress and fostering feelings of peace, calm and clarity. It's like a reset for the body and mind, an opportunity to slow down and create healing in the body. During yoga nidra you rest on your mat in a comfortable, savasana like position. There will be time at the beginning of class to set yourself up with as many props and supports needed to find an optimal resting position in your body. This may look different for everyone, and that's ok. There will also be an opportunity to journal before or after class. There will be time post class to enjoy some tea and sit in silence or connect with other students in the class. Let us come together and enjoy the benefits of this deeply restful and beneficial practice. We have an abundance of props at the studio; however, if you have your own props at home feel free to bring them with you. Items that may support this experience: A yoga mat (or 2), a blanket, an eye mask or eye pillow, a journal + pen, warm socks. #restrevolution
