Event Description

Join us at GottaGoat Farm for our Goat Yoga (GOGA) classes - Penticton's only Goat Yoga! We will be practicing outdoors with our adorable little goats being free to roam around and interact with you as they please. This is a unique opportunity to learn more about these loving animals, while fostering your own sense of tenderness and empathy for nature and the environment. Don't miss out on attending this fun-filled activity! Please note, as we are practicing in "their yard" our goats will be themselves, meaning they will most definitely nibble curiously at anything they can get their lips around... zippers, pulls, jewellery, hair bands, tags, etc. If you register to attend, please wear clothing that you are ok with being nibbled at and/or getting dirty. (i.e., nothing expensive). Class consists of an introduction to all the goats, a one-hour outdoor yoga session, and of course plenty of photo opportunities! Please plan to arrive no earlier than 15 mins before your class begins. FAQs Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? Yes. As this is a working farm, we try to keep our attendance for these classes to teens and adults. We do have other activities at the farm that your younger children can enjoy on other days - just contact us for details! What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? We do have limited parking at the farm, so please try to car pool if you can. We are located approximately 20 minutes west of Penticton, BC. You can locate us on the map for the event, or contact us directly if you would like additional directions. What can I bring into the event? We do require a signed waiver to attend activities at the farm. You can access, download, and print your waiver in advance from our website (http://www.gottagoat.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/GottaGoat-Liability-Waiver-1.pdf), or sign one when you get here. However, please visit our website and make sure you are familiar with our detailed FAQs (http://www.gottagoat.com/events-and-classes-faqs/). As previously mentioned, wear clothing and bring a mat that you don't mind getting dirty. Bugspray is recommended, but please do not wear insect repellent patches (the curious goats of ours have actually eaten those). If you have an "outdoor" blanket feel free to bring it along. We'll be outside for 2 hours in total, so bring some water to stay hydrated. Finally, as we are at the bottom of the mountains, it will be a bit cooler than in Penticton, so feel free to bring another layer in case you need it. How can I contact the organizer with any questions? You can send us a message through our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/GottaGoat/), email cindy@gottagoat.com, or call our farm at 250-493-4065. We may be out feeding the goats, but we'll get back to you soon! On the day of our GOGA classes, we will be out with the goats usually 1/2 hour prior to each class start time, so please understand we may not see messages sent immediately prior to a scheduled class. What's the refund/cancellation policy? Sorry, no refunds unless we cancel the class due to unforseen circumstances, or if we don't get enough attendees... however, if you can't make it, please gift it to someone who would enjoy this fun-filled event. Although we will make every effort to avoid cancellations, in the event that your particular class is cancelled, you will be given the opportunity to transfer your ticket to a future class, or receive a refund for your ticket. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? Yes, please bring along your printed ticked for the class. If you have forgotten your ticket, make sure you know the name of the person who completed your registration so we can reference that here.
