Celebrate Canada Day – Memorial Park July 1, 2025 | 4:00 - 8:00 PM
Join us for a full day of fun and festivities, starting with a guided hike up Mt. Rose Swanson at 9:00 AM and continuing with live music, games, food, and family-friendly activities in Memorial Park from 4:00–8:00 PM!
Evening concert by Hat Trick Band from 7:30–9:30 PM.
Don’t miss birthday cake, kids’ activities, and the announcement of the 2025 Citizen of the Year!

Celebrate Canada Day in nature! Join a guided group hike along the Centennial Trail and newly rerouted Jackpine Trail to take in stunning views of Armstrong and the valley below. At the summit, we’ll raise the flag, sing O Canada, and enjoy lunch before returning—or continue to the tower viewpoint for more scenic vistas. All are welcome—come hike, connect, and celebrate Canada!
Meet: Mt. Rose Swanson parking lot on Chamberlain Rd
What to Bring: Water, lunch, sun hat, sunscreen, bug spray, hiking poles, proper footwear (no sandals)
Optional: Donations for Mt. Rose Swanson accepted onsite
Note: Hike is guided at a relaxed pace with multiple break points.
