Event Description

The Penticton Speedway Foundation is bringing back “Business Gives Back”! We are partnering with the South Okanagan Medical Foundation to revive this long-time running event. The Speedway Foundation has invested over $120,000 into the community the past 7 years through the generous support of racers and spectators (through 50-50, raffles and other fundraising efforts). Business Gives Back was an event in our community for 23 years raising funds for local charities and organizations. What we want to do is bring back the element of local: local businesses and local people helping local charities and groups. And we want to do it in one afternoon with the help of our community members! DETAILS: November 29th, 2019 at the The Barking Parrot Bar in the Penticton Lakeside Resort and Conference Centre...beginning at 12pm with a champagne mix and mingle, followed by a sit-down lunch at 1pm, live auction at 2pm with Soft 103.9's Kevin Rothwell, silent auction, entertainment and more...emceed by Comedian Patrick Maliha Raconteur and co-hosted by Castanet’s Chelsea Powrie. TICKETS: For $80, your ticket includes lunch, a drink, door prizes and your chance to win a grand prize!! Full tables are available too, for groups up to 10. Tickets available at the front desk at the Penticton Lakeside Resort, or by calling or texting 250-809-9117 or emailing jasmine@castanet.net DONATE: Get your business involved! Please consider donating a product, service, gift basket or gift card....anything helps! We can also accept cash donations. We will pick up the donation from your door – making it easy for you to get involved! By purchasing tickets to the event or donating an auction item, you will be supporting the below LOCAL community charities and organization: Penticton Speedway Foundation: • Local Breakfast programs in School District 67 elementary, middle and high schools • South Okanagan Children’s Charity • Critteraid • SOWINS • United Way • JumpStart and more! SOS Medical Foundation / Penticton Regional Hospital: • Providing health services, crucial care medical equipment, staff education and other special patient comfort programs in our region.
