A Penticton youth has been arrested in connection with several stolen ATVs after he was picked up in Kamloops last night by RCMP.

The 15-year-old was arrested at about 10:30 p.m. on Sarcee Street West in Kamloops after riding up in a John Deer Gator that was recently reported stolen from a nearby dealership on Chilcotin Road.

Workers of the dealership called it in after watching two ATV's being driven away by two 'suspicious' males, one with his face covered wearing a baclava. RCMP determined that the suspects gained entry into the yard by cutting the chain link fence.

Two ATVs were immediately located by police, and soon after the suspect, unaware of the police, rode up driving another.

The teen was in possession of a buck knife and wire cutters when arrested and searched by RCMP.

A fourth machine was located on the eastern side of the street.

The second suspect has yet to be found by RCMP, and it is believed there are others involved in the theft.

Charges of theft and possession of stolen property over $5,000 are being recommend by police.

Anyone with information regarding the incident or others involved are asked to contact RCMP at 250-828-3000.
