KAMLOOPS - Police are looking for a lone male suspect after responding to reports of an armed robbery at a liquor store in Valleyview Saturday night.

Just before 8:30 p.m. Saturday, July 19 a male suspect entered Big Daddy Liquor Store at 1829 Trans Canada Highway East, just east of Vicars Road, and demanded cash. He produced what staff believed to be a handgun before fleeing on foot.

When police arrived they found the man had discarded clothing and an imitation handgun as he fled the area.

While RCMP officers and police dog services established a perimeter and searched the area they were unable to locate the suspect, who is described as a 6’ skinny Native male wearing a black long sleeve shirt with decal on the back, black pants and a black ball cap with a white skull. He was also wearing a copper coloured wig, sunglasses and black Converse style shoes with a thick white rubber toe at the time of the robbery.

No one was injured during this incident.

Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to call Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 or Crime stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
