WEST KELOWNA - The West Kelowna Warriors dropped to .500 with a 4-1 loss to the Penticton Vees in front of 1,462 fans on Saturday night, Sept. 19, in West Kelowna.

The Vees got on the board at 5:14 when Demico Hannoun finished on a partial breakaway past Daniel Mannella.

West Kelowna tied it up with a shot from Jonathan Desbiens on the power-play, snapping it past Anthony Brodeur.

Just 18 seconds later, the Vees would get one back as Scott Conway got a gift on a rebound, and made no mistake.

The Vees scored at 16:37 on the man advantage with Conway's second goal of the night.

Tyson Jost would get his first goal on the year by beating Mannella early in the middle frame, as the Vees enjoyed a four minute power-play. With Kyle Marino off for spearing, Jost used his patience to go upstairs short side to make it 4-1.

The Warriors had some bright moments through the remainder of the game, but couldn't get one past Brodeur. Shots favored Penticton 34-29.

West Kelowna will take on the Cowichan Valley Capitals in Chilliwack at the BCHL Showcase on Saturday night at 4:00, before facing the Langley Rivermen at 7:30 Sunday night.
