WEST KELOWNA – The owner of local liquor store is hoping someone recognizes three suspected thieves in a security camera video he posted to Facebook.
Cask & Barrel Liquor Store owner Devon Smith posted the footage he says shows three men stealing bottles of booze from his Stevens Road location in West Kelowna.
His post on the store’s Facebook page asks, “Anyone recognize these creeps who helped themselves?”
Smith says he's hoping the video will help RCMP track them down or at the very least shame the trio.
In the video, the three men appear to be working together as they lift bottles of vodka, Jager and coconut rum from the shelves and stuff them into their pants or in the jackets.
The alleged shoplifters got away in a pickup truck with a green box in the back and a DC sticker on the tailgate, the post says.
Smith says with the small profit margins at liquor stores even a small theft can have a big impact on their bottom lines.
If you recognize any of the suspects in the video or have any information that could help the police with their investigation, you’re asked to call the West Kelowna RCMP detachment at 768-2880 or remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
